Eggslut is one of my go-to spots inside the Cosmopolitan for a casual, high-quality breakfast. Thanks to its provocative name and sandwiches that seem designed specifically to cure a Vegas hangover, it has developed a massive following.
What started as a simple food truck in Los Angeles in 2011 has grown into a global brand. Today, you can find locations in Southern California, Seoul, Tokyo, London, and even Kuwait City.
While the spot attracts plenty of influencers and vloggers, the hype is backed by solid food. You should expect a line, but the payoff is worth it. While not exactly cheap, the sandwiches are made with high-quality ingredients and fresh, locally sourced bread that justify the price tag.
Their signature dish is the Slut. It features a coddled egg on top of house-made potato puree and is served with toasted baguette slices for dipping.

Waiting in Line
Due to the popularity of the restaurant, you will almost certainly have to wait in line.
I visited on a Friday afternoon and waited about 15 minutes. This was shorter than I expected, but you should plan for a longer wait if you visit on a weekend.
Fortunately, the line moves fast. Once I reached the front, the ordering process was simple. I placed my order, listened for my name, and picked up my food at the counter to the right of the kitchen.
Interior
Since this is a fast-casual spot, seating is limited. There is a high-top counter wrapping around the kitchen, but those stools are rarely available.
Tip: Just outside the restaurant is an Alice in Wonderland-themed area. I usually have better luck finding a table there. If that fails, look for tables on the same level or head up one floor to the area near Secret Pizza.
One of the best features of the layout is the open kitchen. While I waited, I watched the chefs crack eggs, cook bacon on the grill, and toast brioche buns.
The kitchen staff was incredibly efficient. Standing that close to the grill, the smell of bacon and butter was intense.
Eggslut Menu
The menu at Eggslut is straight to the point. It focuses almost entirely on sandwiches, all topped with an egg.
If this is your first visit, I recommend the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich. It is a reliable choice that never lets me down.
If you want the dish that made them famous, order the Slut. It features a coddled egg on top of house-made potato puree and is served in a glass jar with toast.
For something heavier, the Gaucho Sandwich features seared Wagyu tri-tip and chimichurri sauce.
They also offer sides including truffle hashbrowns, salted chocolate chip cookies, and house-made buttermilk biscuits.
For drinks, they have coffee and fresh orange juice, or beer and mimosas if you want something stronger.
Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich
While simple, the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich was just what I needed after a long night in Vegas.
This sandwich, served in a warm brioche bun, was made with applewood smoked bacon, a cage-free over-medium egg, cheddar cheese, and chipotle ketchup.
The warm, golden brioche bun was my favorite part of the sandwich, which wasn’t surprising since all the bread at Eggslut is made locally and delivered fresh.
While simple, the firm yet fluffy bun held up to the last bite. Lightly toasted on the inside, the sweet and buttery bun almost melted in my mouth.
If you prefer crispy and charred bacon, you will enjoy this salty, rich applewood bacon. Not only flavorful, the bacon added a crunchy texture and complemented the sweet brioche.
Unfortunately, the cage-free over-medium egg was overcooked. While it wasn’t dry, I was hoping for a runnier yolk.
Being a breakfast sandwich, I wanted the rich, golden egg yolk to explode over the bacon, bread, and thick layer of melted cheddar cheese.
While ketchup doesn’t pair well with eggs, the final component of this sandwich, the sweet and tangy chipotle ketchup, somehow did. The sauce complemented the smoky bacon and added an extra level of flavor.
No need to worry if you’re not a fan of spicy foods. The sauce tasted more like ketchup than spicy chipotle. If it’s not your thing, you can always ask them to leave it off.
Service
Since this is a fast-casual spot, you order at the counter rather than having table service. That said, the staff was excellent.
The line looked long, but the team kept it moving fast.
The cashiers were friendly, and the kitchen pumped out sandwiches in record time. The food was great, but the service was even better.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a traditional sit-down breakfast restaurant, Eggslut might not be the place for you.
However, if you are a fan of bold flavors and enjoy bacon, eggs, and cheese, especially after a long night out on the Las Vegas Strip, then Eggslut is your spot.
Although seating is limited, the customer service and food were excellent. You will have to wait in line, but the experience at Eggslut is worth it.
