My most memorable but least proud moment is when I brought my cat along to Las Vegas and snuck him into the room. I paid $24 for the hotel per night and knew the hotel pet fee was $50 per night. What was I to do?

Kimpton Hotels
Kimpton Hotels has been pet friendly since opening in 1981 and today is one of the most pet friendly hotel chains. When Bill Kimpton founded the chain of hotels, he would bring his pooch to work to lift spirits.
No matter the size, weight, or breed of your pet, Kimpton Hotels will allow your furry friend to stay for free (as long as they fit through the door, of course). Pets are even welcomed by name.
Some locations even have a designated canine dubbed the Director of Pet Relations. The sole job of this four legged ambassador is it to roam the lobby with the mission of welcoming each guest with a little bit of love. Who wouldn’t want to have a friendly dog greet them each time they arrive at a hotel?
Kimpton Hotels also offers pets goodies including plush pet beds, mats, water and food bowls, and treats. The concierge is also available to help you find the nearest pet friendly restaurant or groomer.
Pets can also join the nightly complimentary wine receptions.
La Quinta Hotels
Almost all La Quinta Hotels, over 700 of them across the United States, Canada and Mexico, allow pets to stay for free without any fees or deposits.
La Quinta Hotels only requires that pets that stay at their hotels be 50 pounds or less. Sorry fat dogs.
Housekeeping services will not be performed on guestrooms if pets are left unattended in rooms and not in a pet crate.

Red Roof Inn
Pets are always free at all of Red Roof Inns.
Red Woof Roof Inn, sorry Red Roof Inn, allows well behaved pets (yours of course) to stay in all of their guestrooms at over 360 locations for free without any additional charges or cleaning fees.
Pets should be declared and check in and never be left unattended in guestrooms.
Red Roof Inn also encourages guests to remember to bring items along on your visit that will make your pet more comfortable and safe including pet carriers, food and water bowls, leashes, collars with tags, and baggies to clean up after your pet.

Thrifty Inn (a Drury Inn brand hotel)
Pets stay for free at Thrifty Inn, a brand of Drury Hotels introduced in the 1990s.
Thrifty Inn has a two pet limit per room. Pets are not allowed in common areas such as the lobby or dining area. No people food for them.
They also ask that pets not be left unattended in guestrooms.
When checking in, guests with pets will be forced to sign a “Pet Owner Letter” that pretty much states if your pet screws up the room or eats the television, then you will be charged. Bad dog.
Note : Drury Inn and Pear Tree Inn by Drury brand hotels charge a daily cleaning fee $10 per room.

Motel 6
Motel 6 is best known for their rock bottom hotel prices but, unknown to many, they also allow pets to stay for free at any of their over 1,000 locations in the United States and Canada.
Motel 6 allows any well behaved pet to stay for free in their rooms as long as the pet does not cause damage to the room or pose a safety risk to other guest. They do not have a limit on the number of pets per room, but to be safe, keep the number to a minimum. If your pets damage the room, you will have to pay a fee.

Please be aware that Studio 6 Extended Stay Hotels charge pet owners $10 to $50 per day.

Whatever your budget is, you are sure to find a hotel that allows your furry friend to stay for free. If you have never traveled with your pet, now you don’t have an excuse.
It make take a little more planning and logistics traveling with a pet, but it’s truly a great experience whether you travel with your dog, cat, or fish, or whatever pet you may.
